Language: English
"Sushi Girl" director Kern Saxton clearly saw God while viewing "Kill Bill." "Sushi Girl" has it all: a heist gone wrong, B-movie orientalism (Sonny Chiba and nyotaimori), an extended torture scene, a Mexican standoff, a resurrected 1970s star (Mark Hamill, apparently from some old George Lucas movie) and even a retro theme song lifted from another film ("Diamonds are Forever"). If this all sounds a bit derivative, it is. Massively.
