What do you get when you mix musicians, models and five dancing kids? It's quite an impressive collection — in fact it's the Fukuoka Asia Collection (FACo).
On March 24 FACo will return to the Fukuoka Kokusai Center for the fifth time. The event, which aims to highlight Fukuoka's fast-growing fashion industry, will feature artists and music groups such as Leo, Shishido Kavka, Cream and Tempura Kidz.
The event started up in 2009 and past guests have included media personalities such as Becky, Satomi, Kana Uemura, and Ikko. So it comes as no surprise that FACo is presenting new acts such as Tempura Kidz and Cream, but of course in addition to music there's the fashion. With more than 20 local brands adorning both local and international models, this event will feature the hottest looks for spring casual fashion.
The event also coincides with Fashion Week Fukuoka, which runs until April 7 and will feature sales and events at shops around the city.
Fukuoka Asia Collection takes place at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center in Hakata, Fukuoka, on March 24 at 1 p.m. Tickets cost between ¥3,500 and ¥7,000. For more information, visit www.fukuoka-asia-collection.com.
