This is the second exhibition by Ginza retailers Wako Co., Ltd.'s of the work of Toshiro Ishii, an artist who painted floral illustrations for the Danish Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica porcelain series for more than 10 years. This time, the exhibition focuses on the four seasons, showing Ishii's use of symbolic motifs such as oak and linden.

When Ishii worked in Denmark, he retained a Japanese aesthetic, making his portrayal of Western flora unique in style. As a collaborative exhibition, Ishii's work is also being displayed with the colorful preserved-flower arrangements of Nicolai Bergmann Flowers & Design, the Tokyo-based European-style florist; till May 12.
