After performing here on a sold-out tour in 2009, The Ragus Show will return to perform their brand of Irish dancing at Nagoya's Aichi Prefectural Art Theater.
Ragus (pronounced "rah-goose") is one of Ireland's biggest traditional music and dance groups. They formed in the summer of 1998 on Ireland's western Aran Islands. They have performed in the United States, China, South Africa, Australia and many other countries.
Ireland's Radio 1 described their work as "music that simply gives you shivers down your spine, and (is) not to be missed," while The Irish Times credits them with "exciting choreography."
The Ragus Show takes place at Aichi Prefectural Art Theater on Nov. 26 (5 p.m.). Tickets cost ¥5,000 to ¥7,500. For more information, visit www.aac.pref.aichi.jp/english/gekijyo or www.ragus.ie.
