To enhance the exciting and fun-filled atmosphere of the summer, Menard Art Museum presents some 45 works on themes such as summer scenery and summer clothing.
Western-style paintings on show include works by the well-known artists Paul Cezanne, Wassily Kandinsky and Maurice Denis, as well as the Japanese artists Shigeru Aoki and Ryusei Kishida. Nihonga (Japanese-style painting) works by Kaii Higashiyama and Heihachiro Fukuda are also on display.
A gallery room showcasing pieces done only in shades of blue attempts to give viewers a refreshing, cool experience during the summer heat; till Sept. 4.
