The 11th Star Light Cinema program is currently being held at Ebisu Garden Place in Tokyo and this weekend will be your last chance to enjoy cinema under the stars (well, under a glass dome, at least).
On Aug. 6, the program will feature "Niji no Megami," the 2006 hit Japanese film starring Yu Aoi. On Aug. 7 film buffs will get the chance to see a screening of "Wonderful Life" (1998; released as "After Life" in the U.S.).
The program's finale will take place on Aug. 8 with a screening of "Tokyo Tower," a 2007 Japanese film based on a novel by Lily Franky. The film won the Japanese Film Academy's best film prize in 2008.
About 150 seats will be provided and admission is free, so arrive early to be sure of a seat with a good view. For those who arrive later, standing areas will also be available.
The 11th Star Light Cinema program continues from Aug. 6 at Ebisu Garden Place. Films will begin at 6:45 p.m. each night. For details, call 03-5423-7111 or visit gardenplace.jp
