Enjoy beers and free live music from a variety of genres in Tokyo's Shiodome.
Caretta Beer Live is a series of concerts and performances held in the beer garden of Caretta Shiodome, a shopping mall by Tokyo Bay until Aug. 21.
The live music shows are held free of charge every day except Aug. 8 and 16.
On Aug. 7, Queeness, a Queen tribute band is set to perform. On Aug. 9, several a cappella groups will compete in a contest held by Japan A Cappella Movement, one of the country's biggest a cappella organizations.
On Aug. 10, "Okinawa Pops Night" is presented by Tomoyasu Inoue and Merry. The following day on Aug. 11, Junk-tion will perform the music of Kazumasa Oda, a Japanese singer who has been popular since the 1970s.
On Aug. 17, female group Cherry Bomber will perform rock music. Kuwata Kenkyukai Band will play the music of Keisuke Kuwata, lead vocalist of Japan's famous Southern All-Stars, on Aug. 18. Aerozamasu, an Aerosmith tribute band, will perform Aug. 20.
Restaurants at Caretta Shiodome, such as the Spanish Venga Venga and the Japanese Ikkyuan, will sell food and drinks.
Caretta Beer Live is held at B2, Caretta Shiodome from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. Access: Shinbashi Station on the JR Yamanote, Keihin-Tohoku and Ginza Subway Lines. For more information, call Caretta Shiodome at (03) 6218-2100.
