Halloween
Director: Rob Zombie
Language: English
Like many other remakes, singer-cum-film director Rob Zombie's "Halloween" is inferior to John Carpenter's 1978 original. Zombie adds to his version sad childhood episodes of a masked killer when he is taunted at home and bullied at school. Donning a spooky face mask, young Michael (Daeg Faerch) kills most of his family members and is put into a mental institution from which he escapes 17 years later. The first hour features plenty of chills and shocks, but the creepy air fades as the film develops into just another forgettable slasher.
