Director/writer/actor Stephen Chow's ("Shaolin Soccer") family-friendly comedy is about a father and son who live in poverty in Hong Kong. Ti (Chow) slaves away day and night as a construction worker in order to send his 9-year-old son (Jiao Xu) to a top private school. The boy, though, is constantly bullied at school. This all changes when Ti finds a green ball in the garbage that morphs into a furry puppylike creature with magical abilities. The critter ends up teaching important lessons to both father and son.
