This substandard retelling of the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood" is packed with cynical humor that may amuse some under-10s. Four characters tell their stories, which are very different from the original classic: The girl, Red (voiced by Juri Ueno), is a karate-savvy kid; her granny (Kazue Komiya) is an extreme-sports enthusiast; Wolf (Koji Kato) is not a bad guy but an investigative reporter; and Woodsman (Hiroshi Iwasaki) is an unsuccessful actor. Using cheap-looking CG animation and distractingly loud music throughout, this fast-paced film is just a drain.
