In support of UNICEF and the World Food Program, eight auteurs directed seven short episodes on underprivileged children from around the world. From a juvenile freedom fighter in Africa to an HIV-positive girl in Brooklyn, homeless children in Brazil to a boy who steals to survive in Italy, each story is imbued with the director's own style and perspective. Spike Lee depicts the harsh life of a girl who is born with AIDS, while John Woo skillfully captures the contrasting lives of a rich and a poor girl in China. Though the quality of the each episode varies, the film is moving enough to turn your thoughts on these forgotten children.
