Architectural designs and models of the latest projects by 27 cutting-edge contemporary architects will be showing at GA Gallery in Tokyo's Harajuku district in an exhibition titled "GA International 2006" that runs through July 30.

The exhibition coincides with issue #91 of "GA Document" magazine which takes a closer look at the latest works of the architects.

Included as part of the exhibition are works by seven Japanese architects, including two Tadao Ando designs for the University of Tokyo and Hiroshi Hara's "Hiroshima Project."

Daniel Libeskind's designs for the Renaissance Royal Ontario Museum and Briton Richard Rogers' work on One Hyde Park, due to start construction in 2007 in London's upper-class Knightsbridge area, will also be on view.

Norman Foster's designs for his pyramidal, 6,500 meter-high Moscow City Tower is also featured at the exhibition. Like Libeskind, his company, Foster & Partners, was unsuccessful in its bid to design the building to occupy ground zero at the World Trade Center in New York City. Construction on his naturally ventilated Moscow City Tower in that city's financial district is due to start in the next 15 months -- to be completed by 2010 -- and is expected to cost around $1.5 billion.

"GA International 2006" runs through July 30 at GA Gallery, 3-12-14 Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Admission is 500 yen. The gallery is a 10-minute walk from Yoyogi Station on the JR Yamanote Line.
