The Cantemus Children's Choir from Hungary make their fifth visit to Japan, performing in Osaka on June 20 and in Tokyo on June 21.
The Cantemus Children's Choir is an all-girl ensemble with members aged 12 to 14 trained by conductor Denes Szabo under the Kodaly Method, a set of principles in music education invented by Hungary's great composer Zoltan Kodaly (1882-1967).
The choir's repertoire includes pieces by Kodaly and his compatriot Bela Bartok as well as works by well-known composers Holst and Britten.
The Cantemus Children's Choir perform at 6:30 p.m. at Izumi Hall, 1-10-36 Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka on June 20 and at 6:30 p.m. on June 21 at Sumida Triphony Hall, 1-2-3 Kinshicho, Sumida-ku, Tokyo, a 3-minute walk from the North Exit of Kinshicho Station on the JR Sobu Line.
