If you don't like U.S. President George W. Bush -- particularly if you don't support his war in Iraq -- then there is a new gallery exhibition in Tokyo that you will relish.
The group show "Yo! Whatever Happened to Peace?" is the brainchild of American artist and curator John Carr, who began inviting submissions of Iraq-themed anti-war posters back in 2002, in the period leading up to the U.S.-led invasion. A collaboration with the Transport Gallery in downtown Los Angeles produced the large touring exhibition that Carr has brought to the Parco Museum in Shibuya.
The show features 200 works by about 100 artists -- most of them from Los Angeles and the United States, although there is also representation from elsewhere in the Americas, Europe and Asia. About 10 Japanese artists have been added to the current incarnation of the exhibition.
