Several new Korean films will be shown Aug. 30-31 at Cinema Korea 2003 at Sogetsu Hall in Tokyo, with three of them being screened for the first time in Japan.
Two of the movies premiering in Japan will be "Our Sunny Days," by Kim Sung Su, at 2 p.m. Aug. 30, and "Wet Dream," directed by Jeo Cho Sin, at 5 p.m. Both will be accompanied by English subtitles.
On Aug. 31, "No Comment," a trilogy comprising "Enemies Within the Four Rooms" (dir. Park Sang-Won), "My Nike" (dir. Park Kwang Hyun) and "Church Sister" (dir. Lee Hyun Jong) will make its Japan debut at 11 a.m. (English subtitles will accompany the first two segments of the movie, but not the third). "Addicted," directed by Park Young Hun, will be shown at 6:15 p.m., with English subtitles throughout.
Advance tickets are 1,500 yen for each screening and are available until Aug. 28 from Ticket Pia at 0570-02-9999.
Sogetsu Hall is inside Sogetsu Kaikan, a five-minute walk past the Canadian Embassy from Aoyama Itchome subway station.
