The last performance of the International Organ Festival 2002 will be held at Kurashiki Sakuyo University's Seitokuden Hall in Okayama Prefecture on July 28.
Mari Kodama, the founder of this festival, has been inviting leading organ players from around the world since the festival started 12 years ago.
She has also given overseas performances accompanied by traditional Japanese instruments such as shakuhachi and so. This year's participants included Italian organist Roberto Bonetto and noh actor Rokuro Umewaka, who danced to Kodama's music. On the last night, Kodama will play Mozart's "Sonata for organ and two violins in A major" with violinists To Kikuchi and Kazuyo Asonuma. Karsten Voigt from Germany will play Bach's "Toccata and Fuge in D minor."
