Entries are now being accepted for the 12th Kanagawa Biennial World Children's Art Exhibition, which invites children's paintings from all over the world to promote the dreams and creativity of the children who will shape tomorrow's world.
The 11th Exhibition had 42,000 entries from 114 countries and two districts around the world in April 2001.
Those who were over 4-years-old and under 15-years-old as of April 1, 2002 are invited to submit works.
Entries will be accepted between August 1 and October 31. Prizewinning and selected works will be exhibited during April and May 2003 throughout Kanagawa.
Entrants are free to employ a range of artistic materials and styles, including watercolors, oils, crayons, woodcut prints, collages, etc.
The applicant must have been involved in the creation of the work, and the work must not have been exhibited in any other contest.
