An exhibition of handbags by Italian designer Roberta Di Camerino is currently on show at the Seibu Gallery in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Di Camerino, 80, one of Italy's most prestigious designers, established her brand name in 1945. Her designs have since won her worldwide acclaim -- not only in fashion circles, but in the world of art as well.
For this first public show of Di Camerino's work in Japan, 130 pieces have been selected out of the 30,000 works in her archive. These include Bagonghi, one of Di Camerino's leading works and a favorite among many, including Grace Kelly.
Along with the handbags, the exhibition also includes original dresses, scarves, umbrellas and other items.
