Attracted by its people and landscapes, photographer Nobuyoshi Araki has visited South Korea several times since 1983. An exhibition of his photographs of the country will be on from April 28 to May 9 at the Spiral Hall in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
"Shosetsu Seoul: Seoul to Rain" features photographs depicting women in traditional costume, children, Korean back streets and markets mainly in Seoul.
Araki, known for his eccentric appearance and controversial nude photographs, is also highly regarded for his photographs of children, the elderly and animals.
On April 29, Araki will talk about photography and how he feels about Korea and its people in the Spiral Room.
