Eleven antique quilts with the log-cabin pattern will be specially exhibited during the Quilt Festival Tokyo 2000, Sept. 7-13 on the 7th floor of Shibuya's Tokyu department store (main store in Dogenzaka).
Organized by Hearts and Hands, a school for patchwork and quilting enthusiasts, the festival will exhibit works by Hearts and Hands members and award-winning quilt bags.
A quilting bee will be held at 2 p.m. daily during the festival and a demonstration of new techniques 2-3 p.m. every day except Sept. 13. Admission is 700 yen; students 500 yen.
