Visualize three individuals -- one man and two women -- sitting on three chairs in an otherwise empty room. This space is painted white and measures 8 meters long by 4 meters wide by 3 meters high.
All three are leaning forward intently, listening very carefully to what the others are saying. He is South Korean-born, speaking fluent Japanese and with an understanding of English. The first woman is Japanese, with excellent spoken English. The second is English, with some Japanese but maybe rather better French.
The room is Ginza Gallery Nakazawa, which has been freely loaned with great kindness to Sobi Homme for his first-ever solo exhibition.
