Enormous excitement was generated back in May by a trial series of creative workshops for children in English and Japanese, organized by New Order Arts at Open Studio Nope in Tokyo's Minato Ward.
In response, another series with the theme "Our Place" kicks off Sept. 4, with a morning session 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and another in the afternoon 2-4:30 p.m.
The venue is the only known studio complex in the city offering working space by the square meter at reasonable rates to practicing artists and designers. Located next to a small temple, Nope's open-plan areas are airy and welcoming.
