The Royal Ballet is currently touring Japan with the productions "Swan Lake," "Manon" and "La Fille Mal Gardee," showcasing the lyrical Royal Ballet style.
The company is in a difficult situation at present, due to the renovation of its home theater at Covent Garden in London.
Unlike the Birmingham Royal Ballet, which has a fitting base in the northern city, the Royal Ballet is part of the Royal Opera House, and is now on a peripatetic presentation of its best-loved productions, even as discussion of funding for the company on its previous scale continues in Britain.
