Another handsome cat in ARK’s long line of operatic felines, 8-year-old Rossini comes with his own furry self-cleaning black-and-white tuxedo.

He wouldn’t be out of place on a night out at the opera and would surely make an excellent companion when listening to the “Duetto buffo di due gatti” (“Humorous duet for two cats”), usually attributed to the opera maestro Gioachino Rossini.

Rossini may come across as a bit standoffish at first, but it's only temporary.

The New Year’s Day earthquake on the Noto Peninsula this year led to Rossini the cat arriving at ARK a few months later. Understandably, it took a while for him to settle in his new surroundings after literally being jolted out of his home, but he’s a survivor, and he seems to know it. He loves food and attention, and also enjoys a good conversation. Rossini may come across as a bit standoffish at first, but it’s just a front — this guy is as mellow and melodic as they come.
