With more than 40 years of life in Japan under his belt, Adam Fulford brings a wealth of experience to the cross-cultural table.
Through his involvement with grassroots initiatives at the regional level, the 65-year-old from the village of Westward Ho! (the only British municipality to boast an exclamation point) is passionate about learning from the collective wisdom of small communities and considering how it may be applied to contemporary Japanese urban life.
In a society reeling from the global pandemic, an ongoing war in Europe, supply-chain problems and ever increasing concern over the environment, Fulford believes that Japan’s traditional values may offer clues for cultivating sustainability and resilience in the future.
