Seven is another of the shy animals that has languished for years at ARK.
Barely past puppyhood, she came to the shelter with her mother (also still at ARK) after being given up by their homeless owner. That was 11 long years ago. Tail-wagging, excitable, young dogs came and went, but Seven never did get lucky. She was never chosen.
It’s the older, timid dogs like Seven is now that are often the real gems and arguably more precious — with the kind of depth and character that can read you in a heartbeat.
They are also good companions for busy people or for first-time owners. You won’t regret getting to know one, letting a bashful friend grow on you. Seven is shy, but also charming, playful and healthy. She is a gentle soul hoping for a happy ending — to finally be chosen.
If you are interested in adopting Seven, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process. Web: www.arkbark.net.
