Destiny, an 8-year-old Doberman, was found buried in a pile of rubbish in Osaka.
Severely dehydrated and anemic, she was rescued from not only the trash collectors, but also the grips of the police and the pound. She is believed to have been dumped by a breeder after having many litters of pups and reaching her "best-by date."
Destiny was covered in lacerations and lesions from what surely was a horror of an existence. It took her two days just to get back on her feet but she has recovered and looks like a different dog today.
She is a good eater, healthy and shows no sign of aggression. Though a bit nervous at first, Destiny seems willing to forget the past and, with your help, may be able to restore her faith in a better world.
If you are interested in adopting Destiny, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
