Look this wayThe gorgeous Tairyu was found as a tiny kitten abandoned in a box in July of last year. Though he was rescued, he's still without a home, most likely because there are simply too many other cats vying for adoption. It's a bit hard to believe when you have a looker like this, but, hey, even the best of us get overlooked sometimes for no good reason. Tairyu is said to be named after a variety of biwa, or loquat, the fruit that gave his mother her name, and each of his siblings were christened with the names of loquat varieties. Perhaps it's the name that has kept Tairyu hanging on the tree. Personality-wise, he's pretty perfect, and though he started out shy, he's a master at getting attention now. If cool cats aren't your thing, Tairyu may be for you. He'll gaze lovingly at you with those to-die-for almond eyes, purr, meow, rub against you, climb up on you, and do just about whatever it takes to get a little loving and a bit of lap space. With Tairyu, you'll never feel overlooked again!
If you are interested in adopting Tairyu, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
