Lychin, described as an "amazingly sweet, happy dog," was taken in from one of the rare "good breeders" in Japan when he went bankrupt. His animals were healthy, well-loved and exercised, and it shows. Lychin is extremely obliging and unusually affectionate for a Shiba. She loves being picked up and will look at you as if she's known you her whole life and is yearning for you to remember her. Lychin has a classic black Shiba coat, with perfectly symmetrical dark markings and soft cream coloring around her eyes. She's not young, however. Lychin is a charming, well-adjusted lady of 12. We're hoping that age, as it so often does, will not deter that special someone from recognizing, appreciating and embracing the charm and depth that the years have brought. Remember: Love has no age.
If you are interested in adopting Lychin, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
