Sweet-faced Hakuho is an 8-year-old Japanese Akita, a noble breed known for its fearlessness and its affection and protectiveness toward family members. The Akita's loyalty is renowned through the story of Hachiko, the faithful dog immortalized in front of Tokyo's Shibuya Station. Hakuho's eyes, framed with long, lush lashes, are deep and beautiful, and though their gaze can melt hearts, he has yet to find a home and remains waiting in the shelter. He is cool toward other dogs, but his passion for toys reveals the deep current of emotion within. Hakuho is an angel on the leash, never pulling or tugging. We're hoping the only tugs this sweetheart will make are at your heartstrings.
If you are interested in adopting Hakuho, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
