Hana had previously been adopted as a kitten, but was returned to ARK.
Nothing, however, was found amiss with her, nothing of the "wild" behavior or annoying meowing she had been accused of.
Whether it was a misunderstanding or a mismatch, the change in environment alone shows Hana to be an exemplary feline, fair of face and of fine manners.
Five-year-old Hana is affectionate, sweet and healthy — and rather fond of food. She is content when left alone at home but happier when someone is around. And though she loves company, she is not a "lap cat" keen on being fondled, squeezed or fawned over. Hana is a classy lady. She will sit on laps, but only if it so pleases her. After all, Hana is a cat.
If you are interested in adopting Hana, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
