Buddies Neetan and Hacho complement each other to perfection, forming a duo that it would be sad to see split up. Passionate is the word that best describes the mostly white Neetan. Found in outer Tokyo as a tiny kitten, he had learned to survive by eating whatever he could scavenge. His will to survive was strong and that strength is evident in his passion for life. His appetite is voracious, his purr reminiscent of a feline Pavarotti. He expresses his affection exuberantly with head butts and body slams that say, "I am here! Love me!" The classically handsome Hacho is quieter and allows his friend's boldness and sense of adventure to take center stage. He is happiest when around Neetan, defers to him, but is not reduced by him. Hacho chooses to follow and, in so doing, shows his own strength of spirit, as do his beautifully expressive eyes. Both cats, in fact, have eyes that reveal a rare depth of spirit and sense of presence — characters that we think deserve a standing ovation.
If you are interested in adopting Neetan and Hacho, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual). Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Elizabeth Oliver dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
