Sox was last featured here in December 2012 and, perhaps because he is a very shy cat, had been unable to find a home — that is, until he met Jane Aliga-Caparroso and her husband, Ernie Caparroso. Shortly after losing their cat Tango to illness, the couple moved from New Jersey to Japan.
Two months later their search for a new cat to love put them in contact with Tokyo ARK's matchmakers and Sox was homeless no longer.
"We were going to be happy with any healthy young cat," says Jane, "but the fact that Sox is incredibly handsome, sweet, smart and adorable is just icing on the cake." Still early days, Sox is "still shy, but he certainly does love to cuddle and he is absolutely fascinated by the TV, especially when there are birds, mice and fish on the screen," notes Jane.
Friends say the couple have "hit the jackpot" with Sox, says Jane, but "we know it's really the other way around: Sox is such a good cat, and we are honored and humbled to give him a forever-home."
