"A lovely dog with an impeccable character." That is how this Australian shepherd with the rather unusual name of Stand has been described.
The only thing working against him, or so some may think, is his age. Stand is 11 years old. Not that he acts it. Smart and healthy, he loves to play with toys and can retrieve.
He doesn't know the meaning of "shy" and revels in being patted on his back and, in general, adores attention.
He is small for his breed and would be fine living in an apartment. Stand is at the shelter and the winter is rough on older dogs.
We're hoping he can find a warm and loving family before the cold sets in.
If you are interested in adopting Stand, call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective new owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
