This young lady came to ARK as one of five kittens. Tore (pronounced toe-ray), who was born in March, had a bad cold when she entered the shelter.
She was in poor shape all-around, but cleaned up very nicely. She is a lady you could take anywhere. Tore wouldn't exactly be the life of the party, however — unless it was a quiet gathering. She is not timid, but she is cautious and would prefer to watch the action. She will observe new things (especially people) for a bit of time before she decides if they are OK.
At the shelter, the other kittens were much more forward and found homes quickly. But we think Tore has a more balanced take on life. Her philosophical moments are interspersed with "demonlike" play.
She will become a veritable whirlwind when there's a toy she can put in the air, then will quiet down and return to a more reflective life. We think Tore has it all together.
If you are interested in adopting Tore, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Tokyo ARK is an NPO founded by Briton Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals. All animals are vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Prospective new owners are requested to undergo a screening process.
