He should be more diplomatic. If he can go privately, then that should be respected, but as head of sate, it's also his responsibility to maintain good relations with China and Korea.

No, I don't think another country should have that sort of influence over Japan. He should be able to do whatever the Japanese people feel is appropriate.

I think that he shouldn't go there, but rather he should apologize to the Chinese and others in Asia and stop lying to the Japanese youth about what happened during the Japanese occupation and war.

In Japanese education, they don't teach what really happened in the war. To me, Koizumi is really stubborn and follows old rules. If he's the one changing Japan, then he should be more responsible.

Yes, he should, because it's offensive to a lot of people both inside Japan and out. I think he can find a more honorable way to honor the memory of soldiers past.
