Everyone is on the move, or so it seems.

Last Saturday morning, Mika Arisaka was in Hiroshima. That evening she stood on a Shonan beach in Kanagawa Prefecture, conducting a 40-piece gospel choir. Sunday morning she flew to Fukuoka. Now I catch up with her in Sapporo, Hokkaido.

"I'm on tour with Reggae Disco Rockers, promoting our first album together, 'Rainbow,' " she explains from her hotel room, having just given an interview to a local radio station. "We began touring in Tokyo's Shibuya with a live in-store gig on July 18, and will finish Sept. 24 at the club Ebisu Milk."
