I think that kind of thing would happen in any war. Like before WWII, when Japan invaded China and Korea, we did the same thing, so it's not surprising for me.

In a way I think it is inevitable. If we go to war and say that these people are monsters, then we can't really expect the soldiers to act like they're anything else.
