Artscape 2003, the 23rd annual art exhibition of international and Japanese students will take place from Feb. 27 to March 9, at the National Children's Castle (kodomo no shiro) in Shibuya. The event will showcase works from over 500 students from 55 nations, representing grades 5 through 12.
Paintings, prints, drawings, stained glass, ceramics, architectural structures, photography, and much more will be presented by students from the International School of the Sacred Heart, St. Mary's International School, Nile Kinnick High School, Christian Academy in Japan, The American School in Japan, Yokota High School, Yokota Middle School, Kinnick Middle School, Seisen International School, Musashino Higashi Gakuen, Yokohama International School, The British School in Tokyo, Nishimachi International School, Yokosuka Middle School and the New International School.
On Sunday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., teachers and students from participating schools will offer hands-on workshops for children. The Children's Castle is located at 5-31-1 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, opposite Aoyama Gakuin University. Admission is 500 yen for adults, 400 yen for those under 18.
