The hunt is on for foreign men to contribute their experiences to a unique, innovative, humorous, and much-needed guide for gaijin guys in Japan.
It's a classic scene: a couple lose their way on strange city streets and the man will insist on wasting no end of time and energy to work out where he's going on his own, while the woman will calmly ask for directions.
For men it has become trendy to arrive in a country without information and grope your way through the dark as you get to know the way things are done.
But while he is wandering around in circles trying to find his way, the short cuts, the opportunities, the best of life in a foreign country may be passing him by.
With this in mind, the tentatively titled "Guy's Guide to Japan" is conceived as a companion for men (and women) to make the most of their life in Japan.
Men do face difficulties in Japan, from the (supposedly) trivial, such as how to find a football team to play for, and everyday concerns like networking, to serious legal and financial issues.
With this spirit in mind, the guide will be based on interviews with men who have been successful in various fields in Japan. The authors are looking for men who are willing to be interviewed by E-mail, about their experiences in Japan.
They'll send you one question a day about a specific topic for about a month. Your responses will be completely confidential.
