TOKYO ENGLISH LIFE LINE (TELL) is offering a training program for volunteer telephone counselors. TELL is a 365 days-a-year free counseling line for English speakers and has been serving the international community in Japan since 1973.
The next program begins Sept. 19, 2002, and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Trainees are prepared to work on TELL's Life Line and are trained to listen actively, giving callers the time and space to talk about what is on their minds. TELL offers an opportunity for members of the English speaking community to take part in work that is challenging, rewarding and worthwhile.
