Think Welsh and imagine small, dark, tough people with a passion for rugby and choral singing, the red dragon of the national flag, sunny daffodils (the national flower) and the green valleys of southern Wales. Yet here is Ursula Bartlett Imadegawa (known to friends as Ursula Bi) -- a blonde with green eyes, a penchant for wearing "haori" silk jackets, and the prettiest eye makeup ever.
"I'm told this is a subject of great interest in the schools where I teach," she laughs. "Apparently pink and green (eye makeup) is quite the rage among my students."
Ursula has as many fingers in different pies as she has on her two hands. Three days a week, she teaches art at Seisen International School and the British School, both in Tokyo. The rest of the time she divides between her family and numerous volunteer activities.
