It is not as if Kikue, Sadako and Terumi Yamada have not been interviewed before. Not so long ago it was for The New York Times, which really put them on the map.
On the map for foreign visitors to Kyoto, that is. For Kay, Sandy and Terry, as they say they like to be called, run a "ryokan" (traditional inn) that caters to non-Japanese only. A curious form of reverse discrimination in a country where foreigners are quick to scream injustice when denied access to any service center.
Have any Japanese screamed yet, I wonder. If not, maybe it is simply because few know about the existence of The Three Sisters.
