Next Saturday, Australian print artist Dianne Longley provides the opportunity to hear about and see the demonstration of a new technique: photopolymer printing. The event will be held in Tokyo's Azabu-juban, and everyone is welcome, whether experienced or novice.
Photopolymer printing uses photosensitive plates that have been exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet lights and developed using water. The process, also called "solarplate" printing, is easy, safe and great fun to learn and apply.
It is also fun keeping up with Dianne. We first meet in Florence -- by e-mail, that is. Our conversation then moves to Rome. When I check this out with her for approval, she is in Cortona.
