TOCHIGI -- It might seem strange that a group of students at a rural Japanese high school would be concerned about the culinary habits of Zambia's wildlife or the conditions of India's walkways.
But that kind of information comes in handy for the first- and second-year students at Tochigi Technical High School's "flying wheelchair" club.
Last year marked the 10th anniversary of the volunteer group, which fixes and sends discarded wheelchairs to needy nations worldwide.
