Dancers in flamboyant costumes and heavy makeup performed for around 400 students at a small night club in Tokyo on Wednesday night as part of an event to raise money for HIV education and provide a supportive social network for young gays.
The all-night dance and performance event, S-Cool Boyz&Girlz, was held at club ACE in Shinjuku Ward, with nearly all in attendance young gay men.
"I love this event because all the attendants are gay students just like myself," said a 20-year-old sophomore from Senshu University. "I usually can't socialize like this at other parties."
