The U.S. and South Korea finalized a trade deal Wednesday after months of negotiation to iron out details of a framework agreement struck in July.
U.S. President Donald Trump said the agreement with South Korea had been reached as he attended a dinner hosted by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
"We did reach a deal on trade,” Trump told reporters as he shook hands with Lee at the event, without providing additional details. Later at the dinner, Trump called his South Korea meetings "tremendous” and said he had "pretty much finalized a trade deal.”
