Nintendo is selling fewer Switch consoles as the hardware nears its ninth year on the market.
The Kyoto-headquartered gaming company shipped 2.62 million Switch units in the quarter ended September, down 11% on year, and 70.28 million units of software.
“Although this is a year-over-year decrease in both figures, sales continue to be robust in comparison to past Nintendo platforms in their eighth year,” said Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa in a briefing following the company’s quarterly results announcement.
