The central government plans to maintain its goal of bringing the combined primary budget balance of the central and local governments to a surplus in fiscal 2025.
It also aims to retain the surplus trend thereafter under a new six-year program through fiscal 2030, informed sources said Friday.
The plan will be reflected in the annual economic and fiscal policy guidelines that the central government aims to adopt at a Cabinet meeting by the end of this month, according to the sources.
