Nissan has denied allegations that it continued to treat suppliers unfairly even after it received a warning from the Fair Trade Commission.
Attorneys from Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu hired by the automaker to investigate the issue found no evidence that the company ignored the regulator and pushed subcontractors to excessively slash prices.
The regulator in March reported that Nissan unlawfully pressured subcontractors between January 2021 and April 2023 to reduce prices.
